I am Kayla. One college friend called me Kilo Bravo (my maiden initials using the radio alphabet) in 2004. Branding yourself is a weird thing, but in 2010 I decided to do so with a nickname no one really ever used. I’m a tax accountant by day, trying to indulge my creative side by night.
I really love interior design and DIY projects. I really love to craft. I really love to throw parties! I rarely get to do many of these things, but when I do, I like to share it with the internet. I consider it an “act of small happiness” to myself.
We DIYed our backyard wedding in 2012 while living in a 1900s brownstone in Brooklyn. We had cats. We had kids. We gut renovated 85% of a 1950s colonial in NJ. We are currently giving some TLC to a 1980s Contemporary in Upstate NY.
My style is a mix of mid-century modern, Scandinavian, and a little bohemian. I’m a minimalist with a pillow problem.
Welcome to my blog.
